... awesome open art studio for parents and their children... I started the session with my normal morning stress of getting my two kids ready to go out for the day, but within a few moments of being in the studio space I could feel my stress begin to dissipate. The instructors have such nice energy and warmth and create an environment where everyone feels taken care of. Both my children were immediately engage in fun art activities that they directed and enjoyed. I even had a chance to work on some projects for myself, so rare with two small kids. I honestly walked away feeling more relaxed and happy afterwards and that set the tone for the rest of the day. Even my 5 year old, who can be a little finicky and would rather be in the park wandering than doing anything stuctured, left saying that he wanted to take the class and come back next time.

[Sara and Maria] hold a wonderful heart-centered space and I had a lot of fun making my art. It felt very freeing.

I participated in a recent Art of Parenting group with my now 8 month old daughter. We both had a great experience as group members. The group gave me a chance to really think about myself as a parent, and to consider my parenting style. Being a group member also allowed me to see myself as someone other than "Abbie's mom", which I hadn't done since my daughter's birth. Finally, it was fun to talk to other moms about our experience as parents, and meeting the other babies was great too!

Maria and Sara provided a nurturing and safe environment for my baby and me to explore my transition into motherhood and his into the world. I entered the group not knowing exactly what to expect and left with a loving network of mothers I could call upon at anytime who understood the stresses, demands and joys of being a new parent. The group was an invaluable part of our first few months together as my baby as I learned to navigate the world together. We are forever indebted to Sara and Maria for providing us with a place to safely learn with other babies and parents.
